Scientific Management Positions
We are seeking two scientific coordinators (part time 50% each) to start as soon as possible.

The 2 positions divide into
-
Scientific coordination of the whole CRC,
-
Scientific coordination of the integrated graduate program.
It is possible to hire the same person for both coordinator positions.
We expect from the candidates:

Master’s degree, ideally in mathematics or in studies of natural sciences or engineering,
-
Doctoral degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject is welcome, but not a strict requirement,
-
Strong motivation and interest in science management,
-
Talent for organization,
-
Communication skills and professional conduct,
-
Very good knowledge and command of German and English (oral and written)
Responsibilities of the Coordinators

Coordinator of whole CRC: Scientific management of the CRC, supporting the spokesperson of the CRC

Scientific coordinator of the integrated graduate program: Scientific management of the integrated graduate program, supporting its head

Organization of workshops, retreats, talks and internal scientific meetings
We offer

Candidates who are interested in a scientific career will be supported in working part time on a scientific position (doctoral or postdoctoral position) besides the activities as a coordinator.

The successful candidate will be employed under a regular employment con- tract.

The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term up to June 30, 2026.

An extension of the contract may be possible upon extension of the CRC by the DFG.

The fixed-term contract is based on Section 14 (1) of the German Part-Time Work and Time Limitation Act (TzBfG).

This is a part-time position (50 % of the standard weekly hours for full-time employees).

It is possible to hire the same person for both part time scientific coordinator positions making up a contract with 100% working time.

Candidates who are interested in a scientific career will be supported in working part time on a scientific position (doctoral or postdoctoral position) besides the activities as a coordinator (potentially but not necessarily in a sub-project of the SFB 1481).

The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree in this position.

The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L). The position corresponds to a pay grade of EG 13 TV-L.
